Activity 2: Art Deco
I give the painting a rate of 4 out of 5. I give it this rating because I feel like there is something missing from it that it needs, but I am unsure what it is.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't access some of the content, is this because you're restricted from going on Youtube?
So that I can reward you with points for Activity 1: Popular Culture, perhaps you can use Google to find out a little bit more about Silent Movies and or Charlie Chaplin.
Don't worry about creating another blog post, you can just respond to my comment here with the information that you find.
In regards to Activity 2: Art Deco, a 4 out of 5, in my opinion isn't a bad rating! I really enjoy Tamara de Lempicka's artwork; I like the colours and the sharp edges. Did you know that Napier is the Art Deco Capital of New Zealand? They had an epic earthquake there in 1931 and had to rebuild the city. Meanwhile, all of the Architects graduating from University specialized in Art Deco, so all of the buildings were designed specifically to suit this style.
Keep up the good work Blake; we’re going to have to figure out ways around the activities that involve you viewing videos via Youtube.

You have made a great start to the programme and I really enjoyed reading your posts.
Its a shame that you can't access You tube to complete some of the activities. This is something that we will have to think about for next time.
You have rated the art deco painting quite high, you must really like it. I like the colours that they use, I think that it really shows the style of era well. She looks very relaxed in her car, don't you think?
